Deepak Chahar, who celebrates his birthday on 7th August, is one of the top bowling all-rounders in India. Chahar is best known for his classical swing bowling and is the pace spearhead of MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings(CSK). 

Here are some interesting trivia, facts, and records about Deepak Chahar: 

1) Chahar was born in 1992 in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. His father, Lokendra Singh Chahar is retired from the Indian Air Force. 

2) He is the younger brother of Bollywood model and actress, Malti Chahar. Deepak was raised alongside his cousin, fellow cricketer Rahul Chahar.

3) Deepak Chahar is the first Indian male cricketer to take a hattrick in a T20I. It was against Bangladesh in 2019. 

4) ICC awarded Chahar T20I Performance of the Year for taking six wickets for seven runs against Bangladesh in 2019. 

5) Deepak Chahar made his first-class debut in the 2010-11 Ranji Trophy for Rajasthan against Hyderabad. He picked up 8/10 as Hyderabad got bundled out for 21 - the lowest total in Ranji Trophy. 

6) Chahar's impressive skills with the ball helped him earn a youth contract with Rajasthan Royals. 

7) In October 2016, he worked with International cricket coaches Ian Pont and Catherine Dalton in Jaipur as part of Rajasthan Cricket's development camp. 

8) In 2007-08, Deepak Chahar was rejected by Greg Chappell at Rajasthan Cricket Academy for his height and told to look at a different occupation. 

9) Deepak Chahar has so far played 103 T20s, in which he has taken 120 wickets, with the best figures of 6/7. In 44 List-A matches, Chahar has picked 57 wickets.
