Team India is set to take on West Indies in a 3-match ODI series commencing from July 22nd. Prior to this, team India are coming in with a successful 2-1 ODI series win against World Champions England in England. 

On the other hand, West Indies are seemingly struggling in the ODI format with a fresh 0-3 clean sweep defeat against Bangladesh in the 3-match ODI series. While India will be missing some big names, Jason Holder's return to the home team may strengthen their chances to win against India.

Chasing a mammoth total of 323 in the 1st ODI at Guwahati, opener Rohit Sharma smashed 152 runs off just 117 balls including 15 fours & 8 sixes to provide the base for a successful run chase. Captain Virat Kohli also contributed with 140 runs in 107 balls including 21 fours & 2 sixes to take India to the finish line with 7.5 overs and 8 wickets in hand. 


#4. Virat Kohli (157*, 2018)

In the 2nd ODI of the same series in 2018, Virat Kohli continued his fabulous form as he smacked an unbeaten 157 runs in 129 balls with 13 fours & 4 sixes to help India to a total of 321/6 at Vishakhapatnam. In reply, West Indies also managed 321/7 in 50 overs as the match ended in a tie. 


#3. Rohit Sharma (159, 2019)

Indian openers were in red hot form in the 2nd ODI against West Indies in Vishakhapatnam in 2018. While KL Rahul scored 102 runs in 104 balls, Rohit Sharma smashed 159 runs in 138 balls with 17 fours & 5 sixes as India posted 387/5 in 50 overs. In reply, West Indies were bowled out for 280 in 43.3 overs and India won the match by 107 runs.

With the third occurrence of this name in this list, Indian captain Rohit Sharma likes the West Indies opposition. His highest score against this opponent came in the 4th ODI in 2018 as he smashed 162 runs in 137 balls with 20 fours & 4 sixes. The opener's huge knock along with Rayudu's 100 helped India to 377/5 in 50 overs. In reply, West Indies were bowled out for 153 in 36.2 overs, losing the match by 224 runs.

In the 4th ODI at Indore in 2011, Virender Sehwag scripted history as he became only the second batter ever to score a double century in ODI cricket after Sachin Tendulkar. Sehwag smacked 219 runs off just 149 balls, plundering 25 fours & 7 sixes. Courtesy of this, India posted 418/5 in 50 overs and went on to restrict West Indies at 265 in 49.2 overs, winning the match by 153 runs.
