IPL Trivia: Five Players Who Hit Maximum Sixes In Death Overs During IPL 2020
A perfect finish in a T20 game is a must. Batsmen try to score maximum runs in the final few deliveries of the allotted 20-overs. IPL has seen batsmen try many different ways to score runs, especially in the death overs.
In today's IPL trivia, let's take a look at the players who hit maximum sixes in the death overs(17-20 overs) during the IPL 2020:
1) Kieron Pollard
Mumbai Indians have the luxury of having one of the finest T20 finishers in the world in their team - Kieron Pollard. The West Indian all-rounder showed why he has the reputation of a power-hitter as he smashed 19 sixes in the final four overs in the IPL 2020.
2) Hardik Pandya
Partner-in-crime of Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya comes in the second spot of hitting maximum sixes in the death overs previous season. Pandya smacked 18 sixes in the IPL 2020 to help Mumbai Indians finish their innings on a high.
3) AB de Villiers
This name shouldn't be a surprise when we talk about hitting sixes at will, especially in the final overs. AB de Villiers smacked 15 sixes in the previous season in the last four overs and gave RCB the finish they looked for.
4) Rahul Tewatia
This Indian all-rounder was one of the biggest surprises of IPL 2020. Rahul Tewatia in just a matter of one game impressed everyone with his power-hitting skills and became Rajasthan Royals' finisher. Tewatia hit 14 sixes in the final four overs to give a perfect finish to RR's innings.
5) Eoin Morgan
The English batsman, Eoin Morgan, is lauded as one of the best white-ball hitters currently and he showed this once again in the IPL 2020. He smashed 13 sixes in the death overs and gave Kolkata Knight Riders a brilliant finish.
