Many young players dream of playing for the country but only a few who work hard and have the real jeal to make their hard work into reality get the chance to wear the blue jersey.
Today's story is about Indian uncapped player Mohsin Khan who was born on 15 July 1998 in Sambhal district, Uttar Pradesh. He was drawn to cricket right from his childhood and looking towards his love for Cricket, he got supported by his father & sibling. With full backing from family, Mohsin began training in professional cricket from coach Badruddin.
Mohsin finished his education at MK High School in Sant Kabir Nagar. K.G.K. PG College in Moradabad is where he received his diploma. After working on his cricketing instincts on 10 January 2018 he made his Twenty20 debut for Uttar Pradesh in the 2017–18 Zonal T20 League.
In the 2018 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the left-arm pacer caught everyone's attention with a tally of 13 wickets from 8 games. To outperform the batters, his speed guns also routinely clocked at 140 kph.
The young versatile bowler was picked by the Mumbai Indians before the IPL 2018 because of his amazing performance throughout that season but he didn't get a chance to make his debut. For Uttar Pradesh in the 2019–2020 Ranji Trophy, he made his first-class debut on January 27, 2020.
Mohsin's hard work in Ranji Trophy paid him off when in IPL 2022 mega Auction he got picked up by new franchise Lucknow Super Giants. The team trusted him and gave him an opportunity to make his IPL debut in LSG's opening match against Gujarat Titans where he conceded 18 runs in two overs without taking any wicket. He clinched his first IPL wicket against his former team Mumbai Indians.
His IPL season went very well as he was amongst the top contenders on the Emerging Players list. Overall in the season, he scalped 14 wickets in nine matches with an economy of 5.97.
