टी20 वर्ल्ड कप: अश्विन की सलाह, मिडिल ऑर्डर में फखर जमान को मौका दे पाकिस्तानी टीम
Abu Dhabi: पाकिस्तान क्रिकेट टीम मंगलवार को इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ टी20 वर्ल्ड कप 2026 का सुपर-8 मुकाबला खेलेगी। इससे पहले न्यूजीलैंड के खिलाफ उसका सुपर-8 मैच बारिश के चलते रद्द हो गया था। भारत के पूर्व ऑफ-स्पिनर रविचंद्रन अश्विन ने सुझाव दिया है कि अगर सलमान की कप्तानी वाली टीम इस टूर्नामेंट को लेकर गंभीर है, तो उन्हें अनुभवी बल्लेबाज फखर जमान को प्लेइंग इलेवन में शामिल करना चाहिए।
फखर जमान को टी20 वर्ल्ड कप 2026 में अब तक एक भी मैच खेलने का मौका नहीं मिल सका है। 35 वर्षीय फखर जमान आखिरी बार ऑस्ट्रेलिया के खिलाफ घरेलू टी20 सीरीज में टीम के लिए खेले थे, जिसमें दो मुकाबलों में सिर्फ 20 रन बनाए। उन्हें टी20 वर्ल्ड कप 2026 के सुपर-8 मुकाबले में न्यूजीलैंड के खिलाफ प्लेइंग इलेवन में शामिल किया गया, लेकिन टॉस के बाद बारिश के चलते इस मैच में एक भी गेंद फेंकी नहीं जा सकी।
फखर जमान ने 7 जून 2017 को टी20 अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट में डेब्यू किया था। इसके बाद से फखर पाकिस्तान की तरफ से 118 टी20 मुकाबले खेल चुके हैं, जिसमें उन्होंने 23.38 की औसत के साथ 2,385 रन बनाए। इस दौरान उनके बल्ले से 13 अर्धशतक निकले। इसके अलावा, बाएं हाथ के बल्लेबाज ने 3 टेस्ट और 92 वनडे मैच खेले हैं।
