East Delhi Riders Edge South Delhi Superstarz In Nail-biting DPL 2025 Opener
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta: The second edition of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) kicked off in style at the iconic Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday. East Delhi Riders edged out South Delhi Superstarz in a last-ball thriller to seal a thrilling five-wicket win in the tournament opener.
Spectators were treated to high-energy performances by Sunanda Sharma, Raftaar, KRSNA and Seedhe Maut. The grand opening was graced by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, former Union Cabinet Minister Smriti Irani, DDCA President Rohan Jaitley, and BCCI Vice-President Rajeev Shukla.
The action continued on the field as South Delhi Superstarz and East Delhi Riders delivered a thrilling opening match that went down to the wire. Batting first after winning the toss, South Delhi Superstarz posted a competitive 169/6 in 20 overs.
