नई दिल्ली, 5 अप्रैल| दिग्गज भारतीय बल्लेबाज सचिन तेंदुलकर ने कहा है कि 2011 वर्ल्ड कप के फाइनल में उन्होंने ने ही तत्कालीन कप्तान महेंद्र सिंह धोनी को एक स्थान ऊपर पांचवें नंबर पर आकर बल्लेबाजी करने के लिए कहा था ताकि गौतम गंभीर के साथ लेफ्ट-राइट का कॉम्बिनेशन कारगर हो सके। 2011 के वर्ल्ड कप फाइनल में श्रीलंका के खिलाफ पांचवें नंबर पर बल्लेबाज के लिए शानदार फॉर्म में चल रहे युवराज सिंह को उतरना था। लेकिन सचिन को लगा कि श्रीलंका के पास दो शानदार क्वालीटी के स्पिनर हैं और उनके खिलाफ रन बनाने के लिए लेफ्ट राइट संयोजन का होना जरूरी है, इसलिए युवराज की जगह धोनी को ऊपर भेजने का फैसला किया गया।
सचिन ने टाइम्स आफ इंडिया से कहा, " गौतम शानदार बल्लेबाजी कर रहे थो। उनके साथ धोनी जैसा बल्लेबाज ही लगातार स्ट्राइक बदल सकता था।
