डब्ल्यूबीबीएल में इस साल भी ब्रिस्बेन हीट के लिए खेलेंगी जेमिमाह रॉड्रिग्स
Premier League: भारतीय बल्लेबाज जेमिमाह रॉड्रिग्स महिला बिग बैश लीग (डब्ल्यूबीबीएल) 2025 ड्राफ्ट में चुनी गई एकमात्र भारतीय हैं। उन्हें उनकी पुरानी टीम ब्रिस्बेन हीट ने रिटेन किया है।
गुरुवार को हुए डब्ल्यूबीबीएल ड्राफ्ट के दौरान उन्हें मेलबर्न स्टार्स ने अपनी पहली पसंद के रूप में चुना था, लेकिन हीट ने रिटेंशन का उपयोग कर उन्हें अपने साथ बनाए रखा। पिछले साल हीट के लिए खेलते हुए जेमिमाह ने 10 पारियों में 33 की औसत और 139 के स्ट्राइक रेट से एक अर्धशतक के साथ कुल 267 रन बनाए थे। पिछले सीजन हीट फाइनल तक पहुंची थी और बारिश से प्रभावित फाइनल में मेलबर्न रेनेगेड्स से हारकर उपविजेता बनी थी।
यह रॉड्रिग्स का चौथा डब्ल्यूबीबीएल सीजन होगा। इससे पहले वह 2021-22 में रेनेगेड्स और 2022-23 में स्टार्स की तरफ से खेल चुकी हैं। कुल मिलकर उन्होंने इस लीग में 30 मैच की 28 पारियों में 26 को औसत और 121 के स्ट्राइक रेट से 644 रन बनाए हैं, जिसमें तीन अर्धशतक शामिल हैं।
