अगर कोलंबो में जीत मिलती तो बेहतर होता: देवदत्त पडिक्कल
Sri Lanka: श्रीलंका के खिलाफ दो मुकाबलों की टेस्ट सीरीज में 109.33 की औसत के साथ 328 रन बनाने वाले देवदत्त पड्डिकल को 'प्लेयर ऑफ द सीरीज' चुना गया। गुरुवार को श्रीलंका के खिलाफ 1-0 से सीरीज जीतने के बाद भारत के बाएं हाथ के बल्लेबाज ने कहा कि भले ही व्यक्तिगत सम्मान मिलना खुशी की बात है, लेकिन कोलंबो टेस्ट में जीत इसे सचमुच यादगार बना देती।
पडिक्कल के लिए यह दौरा शानदार रहा। इस सीरीज में उन्होंने 167, 44 और 117 रन की पारियां खेलीं। चोटिल बी. साई सुदर्शन की गैर-मौजूदगी में, पडिक्कल ने धीमी और उपमहाद्वीप वाली पिचों पर शानदार परिपक्वता दिखाई।
