न्यूजीलैंड के खिलाफ टेस्ट मैच रद्द होने से बेहद निराश : जोनाथन ट्रॉट
T20 World Cup: अफगानिस्तान के हेड कोच जोनाथन ट्रॉट ने न्यूजीलैंड के खिलाफ एकमात्र टेस्ट मैच बारिश के कारण रद्द होने पर निराशा जताई। उनका कहना था कि टीम ने लंबे प्रारूप के मैच के लिए कड़ी मेहनत और अच्छी तैयारी की थी। यह मैच ग्रेटर नोएडा के शहीद विजय सिंह पथिक स्पोर्ट्स कॉम्प्लेक्स में होना था, लेकिन गीला मैदान और लगातार बारिश के चलते यह मैच नहीं हो सका।
यह दोनों टीमों के बीच पहला टेस्ट मैच था, लेकिन बारिश ने खेल बिगाड़ दिया। पहले दो दिनों में धूप खिली रही, फिर भी मैदान इतना गीला था कि टॉस तक नहीं हो पाया। यह टेस्ट क्रिकेट के इतिहास का आठवां ऐसा मैच है जिसमें एक भी गेंद फेंके बिना रद्द कर दिया गया।
ट्रॉट ने कहा, "हम बहुत निराश हैं। हमने खुद को इस मैच के लिए तैयार किया था और कड़ी ट्रेनिंग की थी। न्यूजीलैंड के खिलाफ खेलने को लेकर हम बहुत उत्साहित थे, लेकिन मौसम ने हमें मौका नहीं दिया।"
