New Zealand T20 Tri-Nation Series
New Zealand T20 Tri-Nation 2022 series is a cricket tournament set to be played in October 2022 as preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022. The three teams participating in this tri-nation series are New Zealand, Pakistan and Bangladesh, where all the matches will be played in the T20I format.
Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed their participation in the tri-nation tournament on June 26th, 2022. New Zealand then confirmed the fixtures on June 28th, 2022 with all the matches to be played at Hagley Oval, Christchurch.
The tri-nation tournament will start with the clash between subcontinent teams, Pakistan and Bangladesh on October 7th, 2022. All the teams will play two matches against each other till October 13th, 2022. The final will be played on October 14th, 2022 between the top two teams. There will be a match every day from October 7th-October 14th.
In head-to-head stats, Pakistan and Bangladesh have played 15 T20Is against each other, where Pakistan have been the dominant team with 13 wins to their name. New Zealand and Bangladesh have also met each other in 15 T20Is, where New Zealand have won 12 T20Is. Between New Zealand and Pakistan, 25 T20Is have been played to date while Pakistan have won 15 T20Is while New Zealand have managed 10 wins.
