Karun Nair Reaction after being dropped from India vs West Indies Test Series: भारतीय क्रिकेट कंट्रोल बोर्ड (बीसीसीआई) ने गुरुवार (25 सितंबर) को वेस्टइंडीज के खिलाफ होने वाली दो टेस्ट मैच की सीरीज के लिए टीम इंडिया की घोषणा कर दी। इस टीम में कुछ नए खिलाड़ियों को तो मौका मिला लेकिन सीनियर खिलाड़ी करुण नायर को इंग्लैंड सीरीज के बाद इस सीरीज से बाहर कर दिया गया।
नायर, ने हाल ही में 3,000 से ज़्यादा दिनों के अंतराल के बाद टेस्ट टीम में वापसी की थी और इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ पांच में से चार टेस्ट मैचों में खेले, लेकिन सिर्फ़ 205 रन ही बना पाए, जिसमें सिर्फ़ एक अर्धशतक शामिल था। अगरकर ने कहा कि चयनकर्ताओं को नायर से बेहतर प्रदर्शन की उम्मीद थी और उन्हें देवदत्त पडिक्कल के प्रदर्शन में ज़्यादा अहमियत नज़र आई।
