'अगरकर ने बकवास बयान दिया', अय्यर को बाहर करने पर भड़के श्रीकांत
श्रेयस अय्यर के एशिया कप 2025 में ना चुने जाने से क्रिकेट फैंस के एक वर्ग में काफी नाराजगी देखने को मिल रही है और अब तो पूर्व क्रिकेटर कृष्णमचारी श्रीकांत ने भी चयनकर्ताओं को फटकार लगाई है। श्रीकांत ने एशिया कप 2025 के लिए अय्यर को भारतीय टीम से बाहर किए जाने पर चयन समिति के अध्यक्ष अजीत अगरकर पर निशाना साधा है।
श्रीकांत ने कहा कि अय्यर को बाहर करने के लिए अगरकर ने जो बयान दिया वो बिल्कुल बकवास था। अगरकर ने अय्यर को बाहर रखने पर ये तुक दिया था कि वो किसकी जगह अय्यर को अंतिम 15 में शामिल कर सकते थे। अगरकर ने कहा, "श्रेयस के मामले में, वो किसकी जगह ले सकते हैं? इसमें न तो उनकी गलती है और न ही हमारी। फिलहाल, आप केवल 15 ही चुन सकते हैं।"
