अहमदाबाद के नरेंद्र मोदी स्टेडियम में भारत और वेस्टइंडीज के बीच खेले गए पहले टेस्ट मैच के दौरान एक दिल दहला देने वाला पल देखने को मिला। जसप्रीत बुमराह की तेज़ रफ्तार बाउंसर सीधा एलीक अथनाज़ के हेलमेट पर जा लगी, जिससे मैदान पर सन्नाटा छा गया। हालांकि अच्छी बात ये रही कि बल्लेबाज़ को गंभीर चोट नहीं आई और वह खेल जारी रख सके।
शनिवार(4 अक्टूबर) को लंच ब्रेक के बाद तीसरे दिन जसप्रीत बुमराह ने अपनी स्पीड का ऐसा नमूना दिखाया कि एलीक अथनाज़ भी चौंक गए। वेस्टइंडीज के इस बल्लेबाज़ ने सोचा कि गेंद लेग साइड से निकल जाएगी, लेकिन बुमराह की बाउंसर सीधी उनके सिर की ओर आ गई। उन्होंने झुकने की कोशिश की, मगर गेंद इतनी तेज़ थी कि उनके पास बचने का वक्त ही नहीं था। गेंद हेलमेट के साइड हिस्से पर जाकर लगी, जिससे खिलाड़ी और दर्शक दोनों ही घबरा गए। VIDEO देखने के लिए यहां क्लिक करें
