भारत और 8वें एशिया कप ख़िताब के बीच श्रीलंका
BCCI Secretary Jay Shah: महिला एशिया कप 2024 के फ़ाइनल में भारत का मुक़ाबला मेज़बान श्रीलंका से रविवार को होगा। यह भारत के लिए टी 20 एशिया कप का पांचवां फ़ाइनल होगा, जबकि श्रीलंका लगातार दूसरी बार फ़ाइनल में पहुंचा है।
यह मैच रविवार को दांबुला में दोपहर तीन बजे से शुरू होगा, जिसका सीधा प्रसारण स्टार स्पोर्ट्स और हॉटस्टार पर किया जाएगा।
अगर वनडे और टी20 फॉर्मेट को मिला लिया जाए तो यह कुल 9वां महिला एशिया कप है और भारत हर बार ख़िताबी मुक़ाबले तक पहुंचा है। पहला महिला एशिया कप 2004 में सिर्फ़ भारत और श्रीलंका के बीच खेला गया था और पांच मैचों के इस टूर्नामेंट को भारत ने 5-0 से जीता था। इसके बाद भारत ने लगातार तीन बार (2005, 2006, 2008) श्रीलंका को हराकर वनडे एशिया कप का ख़िताब जीता।
