रावलपिंडी में श्रीलंका के खिलाफ पहले वनडे में बाबर आजम एक बार फिर बड़ी पारी नहीं खेल पाए। जबरदस्त रिकॉर्ड होने के बावजूद श्रीलंकाई स्पिनर वनिंदु हसरंगा ने उन्हें ऐसी गेंद पर चकमा दिया कि पूरा स्टेडियम हैरान रह गया। जैसे ही स्टंप उड़ते दिखे, श्रीलंका के कोच सनथ जयसूर्या डगआउट में खुशी से झूम उठे। वहीं, हसरंगा ने इसके बाद अपना ट्रेडमार्क सेलिब्रेशन भी दिखाया।
पाकिस्तान और श्रीलंका के बीच पहले वनडे मुकाबले में मंगलवार(11 नवंबर) को रावलपिंडी में बाबर आजम की खराब फॉर्म जारी रही। दो साल से ज्यादा वक्त बीत चुका है, लेकिन बाबर का शतक अब भी नहीं आया है। इस मैच में भी वह सिर्फ 29 रन बनाकर आउट हो गए। 51 गेंद खेलकर सेट होते दिख रहे बाबर को 24वें ओवर में वनिंदु हसरंगा ने शानदार तरीके से मात दी।
