Controversy Looms As Mohsin Naqvi Set To Present Women's Asia Cup Trophy
With ACC Women: With ACC Women’s Asia Cup 2026 reaching the business end and India emerging as one of the strongest favourites to win the title, a potential controversy surrounding the trophy presentation is already beginning to take shape as Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Mohsin Naqvi is reportedly set to attend the ceremony of the continental tournament in Dubai.
As was the case in Men's Asia Cup last year, ACC chief Naqvi, who is also a federal minister for interior and narcotics control of Pakistan, will present the trophy to the victorious side after the final.
According to a report by Pakistan's sports channel Geo Super, Naqvi will travel to Dubai to attend the final of the continental tournament on September 13 and will be the chief guest of the closing ceremony.
