भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम के स्टार विकेटकीपर बल्लेबाज़ ऋषभ पंत अक्सर अपनी ऑफ फील्ड हरकतों से भी फैंस का दिल जीत लेते हैं और इस बार भी उन्होंने कुछ ऐसा ही किया है। पंत ने एक गरीब कॉलेज स्टूडेंट की मदद करते हुए उसकी कॉलेज की फीस भरी है। ये स्टूडेंट कर्नाटक के बागलकोट ज़िले के एक आर्थिक रूप से कमज़ोर परिवार से आता है जिसकी पंत ने मदद की है।
पंत ने बिलागी तालुका के रकबाई गांव की निवासी ज्योति कनबुर मथ की शिक्षा का व्यक्तिगत रूप से खर्च उठाया। ज्योति ने अपने प्री-यूनिवर्सिटी कोर्स (PUC) में 85% अंक प्राप्त किए थे और जामखंडी स्थित बीजापुर लिंगायत शिक्षा संस्थान में कंप्यूटर एप्लीकेशन में स्नातक (BCA) में प्रवेश प्राप्त किया था। हालांकि, उनके परिवार को फीस का भुगतान करने में कठिनाई हो रही थी।
