श्रीलंका क्रिकेट बोर्ड का वादा, मेजबानी गंवाने के बावजूद Women’s Champions Trophy 2027 को देगा पूरा समर्थन
श्रीलंका क्रिकेट (एसएलसी) ने कहा कि वह अगले साल होने वाली आईसीसी महिला चैंपियंस ट्रॉफी के आयोजन में पूरा सहयोग देगा। बोर्ड ने यह भी साफ किया कि वह आईसीसी के उस फैसले को स्वीकार करता है, जिसके तहत इस टूर्नामेंट का पहला संस्करण भारत में आयोजित किया जाएगा।
एसएलसी ने कहा कि महिला क्रिकेट को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए ऐसे बड़े टूर्नामेंट बहुत महत्वपूर्ण हैं। इसी कारण वह इस प्रतियोगिता की सफलता के लिए अपना समर्थन देने को तैयार है। इंटरनेशनल क्रिकेट काउंसिल (आईसीसी) ने एसएलसी के कामकाज में सरकारी दखल के कारण श्रीलंका से मेजबानी के अधिकार लेकर छह टीमों वाली इस प्रतियोगिता के आयोजन का अधिकार भारत को सौंप दिया है।
