இதன்பிறகு அரை இறுதி , இறுதிப் போட்டி என நடைபெறும். டி20 உலக கோப்பையில் வியாபார நோக்கில் நடத்தப்படுகிறது. இதனால் இந்தியாவும் பாகிஸ்தானும் இந்த தொடரில் கடைசிவரை விளையாடினால் மட்டுமே ஐசிசிக்கு நிறைய வருமானம் கிடைக்கும். இதனை மனதில் வைத்துக் கொண்டு குரூப் சுற்றிலே இந்தியாவும் பாகிஸ்தானும் ஒரே பிரிவில் மோதுவது போல் ஐசிசி தொடரை வடிவமைத்து இருக்கிறது.
