Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi: Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah and Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya were among the political leaders who congratulated the Indian women's team for winning the Asia Cup 2026 after beating Sri Lanka in the final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
The ministers showered their praise on the Harmanpreet Kaur-led team for clinching their eighth continental showpiece in Dubai. Shah hailed the women's side, emphasising that their win has thrilled the nation.
"India sets another milestone in Asian cricket," Shah wrote on X. "Heartiest congratulations to our champions on clinching the 8th Women's Asia Cup title.
