सिडनी थंडर ने किया बड़ा ऐलान, एंड्रयू फ्लिंटॉफ को बनाया अपना हेड कोच
बिग बैश लीग फ्रेंचाइजी सिडनी थंडर ने BBL के आने वाले सीजन से पहले एक बड़ा ऐलान किया है। फ्रेंचाईजी ने इंग्लैंड के पूर्व क्रिकेटर एंड्रयू फ्लिंटॉफ को टीम का नया हेड कोच नियुक्त करने की घोषणा की है। फ्लिंटॉफ आगामी सीजन से पहले ट्रेवर बेलिस की जगह लेंगे। फ्लिंटॉफ इससे पहले 'द हंड्रेड' टूर्नामेंट में नॉर्दर्न सुपरचार्जर्स के साथ जुड़े हुए थे और अब BBL में कोचिंग की ये भूमिका उनका पहला विदेशी असाइनमेंट होगा।
दिलचस्प बात ये है कि नॉर्दर्न सुपरचार्जर्स के हेड कोच बनने के बाद, फ्लिंटॉफ ने टीम को पॉइंट्स टेबल में सबसे नीचे से उठाकर टॉप-4 में दो बार जगह दिलाई। ये पूर्व ऑलराउंडर इंग्लैंड लायंस के हालिया दौरों पर भी कोच थे। फ्लिंटॉफ फिलहाल दो साल के लिए सिडनी थंडर के साथ रहेंगे और खबरों के मुताबिक, उन्होंने शेन वॉटसन और डैन क्रिश्चियन जैसे दिग्गजों को पीछे छोड़कर ये भूमिका हासिल की है।
