एशेज में कौन होंगे ऑस्ट्रेलिया के टॉप-3? रिकी पोंटिंग ने बताई अपनी पहली पसंद
वेस्टइंडीज के खिलाफ हाल ही में संपंन्न हुई टेस्ट सीरीज में ऑस्ट्रेलिया के टॉप-3 बल्लेबाज बुरी तरह फ्लॉप रहे। ऐसे में ये सवाल उठता है कि एशेज 2025 में भी यही टॉप-3 नजर आएंगे या कोई और खिलाड़ी टीम में शामिल होगा। ऑस्ट्रेलिया के पूर्व कप्तान रिकी पोंटिंग ने इस सवाल का जवाब देने की कोशिश की है। उन्होंने उन तीन बल्लेबाजों को चुना है जो पहले एशेज टेस्ट मे खेलते हुए नजर आ सकते हैं।
कैरेबियाई धरती पर 3-0 से टेस्ट सीरीज़ जीतने के बावजूद, ऑस्ट्रेलिया का बल्लेबाजी क्रम कमज़ोर नजर आया। वो सीरीज़ में केवल एक बार 300 से ज़्यादा रन बना पाए, जिसमें ज़्यादातर रन निचले क्रम के बल्लेबाज़ों ने बनाए। पोंटिंग ने आईसीसी रिव्यू में बोलते हुए कहा, "पिछले कुछ हफ़्तों में जिन बल्लेबाज़ों की बात हो रही है, वो हैं सैम कोंस्टास और उस्मान ख्वाजा और फिर कैमरन ग्रीन। ग्रीन के बारे में चर्चा हुई कि क्या वो लंबे समय तक नंबर 3 पर रहेंगे या नहीं।"
